Application and Extent of Industrial Dispute Act, 1947
Under Section 1 of Industrial Dispute Act, 1947:- " This Act may be called The Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. It extends to the whole of India. It shall come into force on the first day of April, 1947 "
As provided in Western Indian Automobile Case,
OBJECTIVES OF INDUSTRIAL DISPUTE ACT, 1947:-
1) An Act to make provision for
2) The Investigation and
3) Settlement of industrial disputes and
4) For certain other purposes.
